This Hub and Spoke Tour is designed to give you the utmost enjoyment for the area plus the beautiful Rose Parade in the “Rose City” of the Pacific Northwest. For over 100 years, it has been the second largest and only other all-floral float parade in the USA. Day 1 — June 5, 2013 — Arrival in Oregon
Arrive in Portland to meet your manager/guide who will orient you to this special city in celebration of the rose. Check into your hotel and begin with an afternoon tour by seeing Chinatown, Old Town, special shopping areas, Washington Park with its international rose test gardens plus enjoy the atmosphere of the festivities. Enjoy a festive Welcome Dinner with your tour companions this evening.
Day 2 — June 6, 2013 — Columbia Gorge National Monument and Timberline
This is a full day excursion to Mount Hood, Oregon’s highest peak in the Cascade Range. Travel down the historic Columbia River Highway to beautiful Multnomah Falls, some 600 feet high before continuing to the Bonneville Dam and fish ladders. Ascending the back side of Mount Hood to Timberline Lodge at the 6,000 foot level to have your lunch will be a highlight as you enjoy panoramic and scenic views. Return to Portland midst nursery farms, horse paddocks and vineyards. The evening is free for your enjoyment and a choice of cuisines or shopping.

Day 3 — June 7, 2013 — The Beautiful Pacific Ocean and Seaside
Head westward along the mighty Columbia to the mouth of the river at Astoria, Oregon. You will travel to the highest point to visit the Astor Column and view the horizon before making a stop at Fort Clatsop, home to Lewis and Clark during the exploration of 1805/06. Then you’re off to pristine Oregon coastline and the village of Seaside for your scatter lunch and a walk on the beach on the Promenade. There is another afternoon stop at Camp 18 to browse the once used logging camp and have a cup of coffee. Return to Portland for the evening.
Day 4 — June 8, 2013 — The Grand Floral Parade!
The special day has arrived – floats decorated with live flowers will pass before you along with high-stepping bands and equestrian units. They are all part of the spectacle. The afternoon is free to enjoy the Saturday Outdoor Market, the events on the waterfront such as the military ships that are open for tour or the dragon boat races. This evening, cruise and dine on the Willamette River with interesting Rose Festival views from the waterside as you join your companions on the Portland Spirit for a Farewell Dinner.

Day 5 — June 9, 2013 — Departure
Depart for home today with wonderful memories of Oregon and the Portland Rose Festival.
Your tour includes all of the above value inclusions, taxes and gratuities for same.
Your tour does not include transfers to/from the hotel, attractions or meals not stated, items of a personal nature such as telephone or laundry, alcohol and the gratuities for tour guide and driver.

Note: This can be extended to take in other Oregon sights should you choose. Also some groups choose to arrive a day later and leave on Monday in order to get better air are, etc. We can customize these five days to fit your time and budget.
