New York, New York! -- Take a Bite of the Big Apple
February 24 - 29, 2004

Day 1 - February 24 - Fly from Portland to Newark Airport. Transfer to the Edison Hotel just off Times Square, right in the heart of Manhattan. After check-in and a bit of relaxation, join your tour companions for a festive dinner at Sophia's Italian Restaurant.    

Day 2 - February 25 - Today happens to be Ash Wednesday so perhaps you would like to attend Mass at nearby St. Patrick's Cathedral. There are so very many things to do in New York, you will have trouble making a choice. Breakfast is included this morning before you set off on your first jaunt. This afternoon, enjoy your first theater performance of Thoroughly Modern Millie at the Marquis Theater. This award winning play will delight and entertain you. The evening is free to enjoy the lights of Broadway.    

Day 3 - February 26 - Enjoy a trip around Manhattan today on your two-day pass double-decker sightseeing bus. Hop on and off to your heart's content, spending time where you choose. It is inclusive of the entire island. Tonight, depart from Chelsea Pier to have dinner on board a Spirit Cruise. Enjoy the entertainment as we dine and cruise on New York Harbor.

Day 4 - February 27 - Today, we feature a tour and lunch at the United Nations. See the General Assembly areas, works of art from around the world, and eat lunch in the delegates dining room. Your double-decker bus tickets are good for today also. What you missed yesterday, you can see today. Your second theater event is this evening with a choice of ticket. Choose the performance that you wish (a list will be provided) or go the Lincoln Center, Off Broadway or the Ballet - or perhaps a sports event at Madison Square Garden --- you choose and we provide the ticket!

Day 5 - February 28 - The day is free until tonight and your third wonderful performance. Many of you saw Bernadette Peters in "Annie Get Your Gun" - Now enjoy the revival of Gypsy with Ms. Peters. She is always a "showstopper."

Day 6 - February 29 - Leap Year Day !!!!! Celebrate with a champagne brunch at the carousel restaurant at the top of the Marriott Marquis. View the skyline of New York from this lofty "perch" while you dine. Our coach arrives to take us to the Newark Airport for our late afternoon flight and a return to Oregon.
